Spring Things at Cosmopolitan!

with 2 comments

A new round of Cosmopolitan has just opened – Round (14/4) – and it runs up to the end of April 9th. Lots of gorgeous Home & Garden pieces – here’s a few of them.

Oh my goodness – Myrrine has a “Garden Gacha”! I’ve always admired Myrrine’s pieces – they are just so joyful. Don’t think I’ve seen a gacha from them before.

Cosmopolitan - Myrrine - Garden Gacha

Collect all the pieces of gardening essentials including the Garden Shack itself which is 6 LI and Rare. The other Rare is a small ground greenhouse at 3 LI. The Commons are Flowers 2 LI, Watering Can with Flowers 3 LI, Garden Cabinet with various potting items 3 LI, Herbs Rack 2 LI, Plant Display 3 LI, Steps with Plant Pots 3 LI. All are Transfer/Modify and it’s 50 $L per play.

This is a beautiful piece, it’s called the “Spring Love Bench” and is built by Bee Designs. You get everything shown in the picture including a side tree, hydrangeas, little kitten, lighting… the lot for only 37 Land Impact.

This is a very romantic bench with 16 cuddles and assorted sits including MM/FF/MF plus two relax n read poses. This would make a lovely Spring hideaway in your garden, just add trees as I’ve done in the background to frame it all. Here’s a close-up.

Another landscaping piece, this time from M. Law Designs, the “Kamloops Tree House” is a much more private and explicit hideaway. When you sit upstairs it’s comforting with the triangular walls around you, the front is open so suiting private land.

At a Land Impact of 66, this smashing tree house has a lot going for it. The design includes the flowers, butterflies and bleached out tree upon which the house rests. Beautiful texturing, everything has been thought out extremely well for romantic roleplay. Just look at the detailed hanging ceiling lights – excellent!

There are a lot of carefully thought out animations included – 19 cuddles, 26 intimate poses, plus around 20 erotic poses. Permissions are Copy/Modify. I would suggest you go along to Cosmopolitan and try out the display piece to see the possibilities.

The “Lakeside Gazebo”, built by Dorian, has lots of possibilities. Up on tall stilts, the gazebo can be placed on a riverside or lakeside, maybe a sloping beach or even sunk into the ground as a garden landscaping piece. It’s 21 LI in total and Permissions are Copy/Modify.

Dorian’s gazebo has a number of animations. Some are standing, leaning against the railing looking out on the lake/river and these are for up to 2 sitters – various poses. Then the benches will take up to 3 sitters and those are 5 male sits, 6 female sits and 7 poses for couples. Beautifully built and textured, it would make useful statement landscaping in a variety of places. Here it is again and those stilts are much longer than you see in the photograph.

The larger Home & Garden display pieces are on the top platform, TP from inside the doorway of Cosmopolitan sale room. Here’s your TAXI for the sim.

Cheers, m’dears 🙂

RFL Home & Garden Expo 2016 – Galland Homes, M. Law Designs, Maven Homes

with 3 comments

The RFL Home & Garden Expo 2016 is now open and will run to March 6th. It’s the largest and longest running event dedicated to Home & Garden in Second Life™ and raises funds for Relay For Life – The American Cancer Society. Read more about it on their extensive website.  As you can imagine, there’s all sorts of exhibitors from well known brands to up and coming designers, hobbyists and professional merchants. Each exhibitor is required to release two brand new 100% donation items and there’s also a wonderful 50% donation gacha section and even a special hunt!

Today, I’ve got beautiful Home & Garden pieces to show to you from Galland Homes, M. Law Designs and Maven Homes.

M. Law Designs  – designer Marcelo specialises in all sorts of outdoors and garden themed sets and homes, often on a romantic theme.   For the Expo, his two 100% Donation items are the “Saanich Deck” and the “Fernie Shed Hammock”. There’s a good male and female animated pose in all the chairs of these sets.

The Deck is rezzed as a coalesced object which you can split up and remove the chairs and decorations to be left with a deck, sunshade and decorative flora so it’s a versatile piece.  Land Impact is 25 with all the pieces out and Permissions are Copy/Modify.

The edge lights show up beautifully in the evening!

The Fernie Shed Hammock is also rezzed as a coalesced object and you can remove the hanging seats and use them separately if you wish.  Fernie is LI 32 when rezzed in total. It’s full of detail and provides a relaxing place to put in the garden or on a grassy riverside. I took one of the hanging seats and suspended it from a nearby tree. Looks very comfortable!

Galland Homes – designer Robert makes the most stunning homes and landscaping items to go with them. They are often themed and based on areas he’s lived in or visited. There’s a new release home called “Cloverleaf” at the Expo and I include Robert’s ad for that here –  so do go and visit his stand and you can check out the rooms inside. There’s even a garage!

For the two 100% Donation items, we’ve got the “Outdoor Fire Pit” at LI 5 with a splendid particle fire which the pictures do not do justice to. This is low Land Impact at quite a size, here I’ve got it balanced on a river  bank which gives spectacular views.

The “Outdoor Fireplace” is another stunning piece with plenty of detail and handy areas for other items to rest on. It’s also LI 5 and Permissions for both these items are Copy/Modify. I shrunk this down a little bit to fit in with the size of the tree and got LI 4 so it won’t break the bank.

Maven Homes sell beautiful luxury homes – some quite modern and some themed – plus smaller landscaping and decor pieces.  Their two 100% Donation items are the “Wavy Shade Floor Lamp” and the “Angled Coffee Table”. Both of these are statement pieces.

The lamp is LI 2 with Permissions of Modify/Transfer and contains a lighting script for various degrees and shades of light – very useful. I used the ‘Brighter’ option to light up a dark hallway here. You can see the spread of light on the wall.

The coffee table is just a stunning piece and looks extremely good wherever you want to place it. It’s only LI 1 with Permissions of Modify/Transfer.

Cosmopolitan #07/03 – Decor 2

with one comment

More decor goodies from the latest Cosmopolitan round and today I’m showcasing buildings from M Law Designs and Shutter Field.

‘Clermont Loft’ is not just a beautiful home but it includes all the furniture as well!  From  M Law Designs, the total primmage comes to 267 for the lot so one rez and you have a ready to use home with no trouble at all 🙂  Here’s what it looks like in full (and I have the simple to use rezzer showing so ignore that), the flowers and trees are included.

M Law - Clermont Loft - full

The flower covered pergola at the front of the house and everything that you see, even the mail box, is included. Here’s a view from the side.

M Law - Clermont Loft - full side

There’s lots of windows all round with the major ones being curtained and you can open and close these with ease. The arched roof adds to the spacious feel of the ‘Clermont Loft’.  I want to show you what this looks like from the inside so here we’re stepping into the lounge and the front doors are open.

Cosy! Some more of the lounge with matching furniture.

M Law - Clermont Loft - lounge 2

You walk into a hall here and that takes you straight into the kitchen area which has table and chairs plus a brilliant Aga type stove.  I opened the curtains, too. Beautiful wood textures all round.

What’s upstairs?  Here’s a couple of photos that will give you an idea. Bedroom and bath area and a view out of the windows into the grounds.

There’s even a wc behind that screen!  Finally, we’re outside again with a close-up of the porch area. ‘Clermont Loft’ is approx 15 by 15 in size and everything is copy/modify.

Shutter Field’s ‘Summer House, White’ is slightly smaller in size at approx 10 by 10, and it has a land impact of 35. It’s a perfect summer house that you can fill with whatever you like and what’s more – the walls are tintable via the Edit menu.  Here it is in full view.

[SF] summer house - full

‘Summer House’ from the side view, it’s surprisingly spacious and beautifully textured in those light woods.

A view from the inside with the doors open,  has a lovely fresh and light feel to it.

[SF] summer house - inside with doors open

Alright, so you can tint it! Right, let’s try that. Don’t forget to ‘select part’ and  ‘select face’ and you can see what part you have selected easily. Tinting applies to both sides of the wall so what you have done on the inside will be the same on the outside.

Lots of fun to be had  matching the ‘Summer House’ to your existing landscaping! Finally,  here’s that planter – it’s a separate piece.

That’s all for now so, Cheers m’dears 🙂 Oh, you’ll be wanting a taxi  I suppose!  Definitely time for dinner 🙂

Hello Tuesday – 18th November

with one comment

Another ‘Hello Tuesday’ bargain event and only x number of shopping days until Christmas *laughs*. I had to get that in because it’s what all the advertisers say ad nauseum at this time of year.

A new designer at Cosmopolitan and I must say I’m slobbering over these designs like the proverbial bloodhound, more to come in another post. This is tag. by Deds Deezul and today there’s a bargain priced t-shirt  ‘science & religion’ in two versions… waisted and wide which is a tad looser than the first. Standard sizing XS-XL plus a well fitting alpha. I was wearing the more fitted variety in size L. 50L$

On to the decor. This is a very nice mesh Snowman by M. Law Designs. He plays ‘Santa Claus is coming to Town’ and has some cute animations where you tend to the Snowman, adjust his scarf, patch up the snow body and similar. Land impact of 7, he won’t break the prim bank 🙂 50L$

HelloTuesday18Nov_M Law

Bee Designs presents ‘Elf getting ready for Christmas’, a cheeky chap bringing home his Christmas Tree on a sleigh cart. He plays a tune also, ‘Oh Christmas Tree!’ – most appropriate! Land Impact of 19, how could you resist him? 50L$

HelloTuesday18Nov_Bee

Storax Tree. Designer Kate has two decor pieces for us this Tuesday and they will be out for a few more days yet.  First is the ‘Eclectic Elegance Time Table Ec’, a really beautiful clock face here, countryside scene. The table is transfer, has a resizer and is land impact of 10. 50L$

Hello Tuesday ST Eclectic Elegance Time Table Ec 50L$

And this is the ‘Morocco Sword Displays Bc’, finely detailed pair of swords on wooden plaques which are transfer, with a resizer and a land impact of 13.  Hang them in the lounge for the next time your best pal annoys you *laughs*

All this fab for only 50L$
