What a Way to make a Living!

with 4 comments

A super luxurious way to make a living!  This scene is a combo of two great sets from unKindness, the first is currently at FaMESHed and that’s the Lady Boss Conference set and the second is the 9 to 5 gacha which was shown recently at the Epiphany Event.  The conference set also includes a truly massive long table, built along the same lines at the short which I’ve used in the scene, and I suppose you’d use that at much bigger functions.  One of the nice things about this set are the hanging lights which look really pearly and posh, they do fit in with the theme of it being more apt for the Lady Boss.  I can’t really see the guys residing on a pink pouffe and retaining their street credibility *laughs*

So anyways, the conference has yet to start and the dalmatian is not impressed with it all, she’s having a kip on the day bed whilst the cheeky chihuahua chap is waiting for the phone to ring so he can inform his mistress.  Both dogs have been very good at avoiding the cake that’s resting precariously on the edge of the table but unless somebody turns up soon, it won’t last 🙂

The room is an upstairs one in a brand new release by Newchurch, called the Noelle Petit Manor, and I’ll be blogging that in much more detail later on this week.  It’s from the subscription Event,  Builder’s Box. which concentrates in this edition on all sorts of Christmas prefabs and buildings.  I will say that the Manor here is suitably splendid and has decorations and snowy accoutrements galore.

Sakura Wedding

Many Japanese weddings are held during the Spring and Fall. The traditional Shinto ceremony honours the kami, the spirits inherent in the natural world. After a purification ceremony using a special branch called the harai-gushi, the priest calls to the gods to bless the couple. The ceremony ends with a ritual sharing of sake from three flat cups stacked on top of one another. Popularly called san-san-kudo, this ritual can be performed any number of ways, depending on family customs. The groom may lead, taking three sips from the first cup, followed by the bride, who also takes three sips from the first cup. Then they move on to the second and third cups. The sake is then offered to the couple’s families.

Newchurch‘s elegant “Shen Wedding Tea Ceremony Set” reminded me of traditional Japanese weddings. However, that’s about the only traditional thing in this wedding! The Red Pandas are tying the knot with the Egret officiating. It’s a large picture so you can see everything so do check that out (click on it), the lacquer work on the furniture set is absolutely beautiful.
