Cosmopolitan #09/03 – Decor
There’s still time to visit round #09/03 of the Cosmopolitan event, it’s on until February 28th!
Today, I’m showing just some of the gorgeous decor on offer.
~*Alchemist*~ – full size telephone boxes and you can have any colour you like as long as it’s red, pink, white or black! Touch the door to open and close, then you can leap inside and check out the animations, some of which are for couples. Perms are copy/modify. Close-up shows the telephone itself. Really liked this one!
Myrrine – a set of cargo box furniture – lovely stuff! You can purchase the whole set or buy the benches or table separately. The cargo box benches have a couple of texture variations and come with or without cushions and each has a land impact of 3. There’s also 8 single sit animations in the benches. The table is 2 land impact and the separate candles 3 land impact. You can toggle the flames on and off.
Decor Junction – have these cute towels racks out. All the decor on the racks are included and amount to a total of 6 land impact, fantastic. I remember when items like these were many more prims when rendered in sculpties! Perms are Copy/Modify.
Apt B – have the ‘Arden set’ and I’m always impressed with the texturing of any Apt B decor. Arden is no exception. There’s a chair with 19 single sit animations for 3 land impact, a matching Ottoman for 2 land impact and the lamp is another 3 LI and you can retexture that via a HUD. This is a PG version and the set is Copy/Modify.
Here’s your Taxi
Cheers, m’dears!
Cosmopolitan Round #8 – Decor
There’s still another week of the present Cosmopolitan event to go and with all the fabulous decor, it’s well worth a visit. Here’s just some of the items on offer 🙂
Apt B have the ‘Haven set’ in green. It consists of a hanging seat decorated by lights which has a land impact of 6 and is filled with animations – 7 single, 3 couple – all with swap and adjust features. There’s a matching crate for 2 land impact and an open book for 1. Included is a HUD for 4 wood textures from repurposed to stained wood which will match most situations I’d have thought! I used the stained wood here. Very nice copy/modify set at L$299.
Alchemist are featuring a set of ‘Tentacle Lights’ from small to extra large, the latter of which would be suitable for ballrooms. Now I wondered what on earth these lights would look like but I was pleasantly surprised! Not only do these look fab but they also have full bright, glow and on/off controls. They are selling like hot… err, tentacles at L$150.
Myrrine one of my favorite furniture designers have not disappointed this round, they are offering a choice of white or light blue in the ‘Hearty’ set. The ‘Hearty Bench’ has a land impact of 4, is copy only and has 9 solo sits. The matching ‘Sofa Table’ is 2 land impact, copy/modify and also includes a book pile at 1 land impact and a letter with envelopes pile for another 1 land impact – both copy/modify.
Ex Machina. Designer, Hatris, has made my favorite fireplace in ages this round! It’s the ‘Vulcano’ fireplace 1.0. Typically Steampunk in style, all that glowing copper is so comforting. It has a land impact of 4 but if you change the size that may alter, at any rate the script auto deletes after a couple of hours. However, this is just perfect for most rooms the size it is. The fire is controlled by a click anywhere on the fireplace. In ALM, the shininess is activated and it looks even more fab!
Also on offer is the ‘Old Furnace’, a slightly smaller chap that would slot into any bricked area with ease. This is 3 land impact, copy/modify and has the same features as the Vulcano. Both these pieces from Ex Machina are on sale at L$80.
Here’s your taxi!
That’s all for the moment. Cheers, m’dears!
Cosmopolitan #07/03 – Decor 2
More decor goodies from the latest Cosmopolitan round and today I’m showcasing buildings from M Law Designs and Shutter Field.
‘Clermont Loft’ is not just a beautiful home but it includes all the furniture as well! From M Law Designs, the total primmage comes to 267 for the lot so one rez and you have a ready to use home with no trouble at all 🙂 Here’s what it looks like in full (and I have the simple to use rezzer showing so ignore that), the flowers and trees are included.
The flower covered pergola at the front of the house and everything that you see, even the mail box, is included. Here’s a view from the side.
There’s lots of windows all round with the major ones being curtained and you can open and close these with ease. The arched roof adds to the spacious feel of the ‘Clermont Loft’. I want to show you what this looks like from the inside so here we’re stepping into the lounge and the front doors are open.
Cosy! Some more of the lounge with matching furniture.
You walk into a hall here and that takes you straight into the kitchen area which has table and chairs plus a brilliant Aga type stove. I opened the curtains, too. Beautiful wood textures all round.
What’s upstairs? Here’s a couple of photos that will give you an idea. Bedroom and bath area and a view out of the windows into the grounds.
There’s even a wc behind that screen! Finally, we’re outside again with a close-up of the porch area. ‘Clermont Loft’ is approx 15 by 15 in size and everything is copy/modify.
Shutter Field’s ‘Summer House, White’ is slightly smaller in size at approx 10 by 10, and it has a land impact of 35. It’s a perfect summer house that you can fill with whatever you like and what’s more – the walls are tintable via the Edit menu. Here it is in full view.
‘Summer House’ from the side view, it’s surprisingly spacious and beautifully textured in those light woods.
A view from the inside with the doors open, has a lovely fresh and light feel to it.
Alright, so you can tint it! Right, let’s try that. Don’t forget to ‘select part’ and ‘select face’ and you can see what part you have selected easily. Tinting applies to both sides of the wall so what you have done on the inside will be the same on the outside.
Lots of fun to be had matching the ‘Summer House’ to your existing landscaping! Finally, here’s that planter – it’s a separate piece.
That’s all for now so, Cheers m’dears 🙂 Oh, you’ll be wanting a taxi I suppose! Definitely time for dinner 🙂
Cosmopolitan #07/03 – Decor 1
There is a lot of wonderful new decor at the latest round of Cosmopolitan so I’m going to split it up over several posts! I’ll be showcasing Bee Designs and Ex Machina today.
Bee Designs have a really sumptuous couples lounger with a romantic animation menu. The ‘Garnet Lounger’ also includes the ‘Amore vase’ which is packed full of roses with rose petals strewn on the ground. Beautifully textured, too. I rezed it in the sun lounge and tried various windlight settings, and it still looked amazing in midday.
The animations menu is split up into two parts. 8 animations are cuddles and kisses which are romantic without being soppy, and in addition to those there are 8 animations with props where you feed your partner cherries and drink coffee together plus other snuggles and kisses. The ‘Garnet Lounger’ would make a lovely Valentine’s scene. Here’s Arrchie and yours truly testing out one of the animations which although for M/F can be stretched to same gender couples. Both pieces are copy and modify and have a total land impact of 11.
Ex Machina have three items for this event and they are all low prim and superbly made! They look wonderful in Advanced Lighting Mode if your computer can manage that but even in windlight settings, they stand out in an awesome way. The ‘Vega’ telescope is made in the Steampunk style with brass fittings and it just looks sturdy and right for the job! Here, I’m watching the deer as they nibble grass in the late evening. ‘Vega’ is copy/modify and only 2 land impact.
Two terrestrial globes now, again 18th century Steampunk style – I thought these looked superb. ‘Atlas 1’ is a globe on a brass stand with circular base. Click on/off to make the globe rotate. Perms are copy/modify with a land impact of 2. ALM is enabled, I was using Windlight settings for both the globes.
‘Atlas 2’ is a variation on the theme and has a land impact of 3. A sturdy wooden base balances the globe which appears adjustable via various pivots and screws. Can’t believe this is only 3 land impact for such a detailed piece. Well done, designer Hattie!
All that’s left is your taxi!
Cheers, m’dears 🙂
Cosmopolitan Event #06/03 Menswear
One week left of the current round! And here’s some of the menswear bargains available at this popular event.
BIRTH skins, newcomers to Cosmopolitan, are offering this fabulous male skin called ‘Brick’ for L$600 which is around half price compared to their mainstore skins. Birth is one of my favorite skin designers and I found ‘Brick’ to be a smooth, young style. It would be possible to add beards to it for an older look if required. Here’s a full body photo.
I was wearing SLINK feet. Birth have an applier instore for all their skins so no problem there and I used the ‘tan’ tone on the feet and fingernail HUDs. Here’s a close-up of the face with shorter hair.
And here’s another close-up to show what this skin looks like when you wear a longer hair. The features are softened somewhat but without losing any of the essence of the styling. I think ‘Brick’ gives the avatar a look in their early twenties.
GIOMEN are offering the ‘Exodus Jeans’ in five standard sizes. I took these photos in near midday setting for actual colour – a faded denim blue in a wonderfully detailed texture. There’s an integral black belt included.
Here’s the reverse which is just as important! Backgrounds are from the Derailed Sim, currently on winter landscape and very useful for photography.
The zip up top is a 50% off bargain Hello Tuesday offer called ‘Blade’. You can have any colour you like as long as it’s black 🙂 Loved this one as it fitted so easily over the jeans.
Cheers, m’dears 🙂
Cosmopolitan #05/03 – Menswear
I’m fighting to get a blog post done during the holidays and man is it a fight! There is still one week to go on the present Cosmo round and that finishes on January 4th 2015. Menswear today and decor tomorrow.
*MSS* has the ‘Suol Zipper Hoodie’ in 5 basic colours at L$125 or L$350 for the fatpack, I’m wearing the red in size L. Standard sizing of XS-XL with a well fitting alpha, no problems. What I appreciate about this hoodie is that there is plenty of room for bracelets and watches with the slightly pushed up sleeves.
Throughout I’m wearing the latest hair and beard from EMO-tions. ‘Jared’ is an unisex/male updo which includes a shorter and longer beard style. Both the hair and beard is controlled via a HUD for resizing and an extensive range of colours. There are hair bases and beard bases included and each pack is L$211.
Fe Style has the ‘Wepshy Mesh Beanie’ in a wide range of colours. Love this at only L$60 🙂
The ‘Snyder’ pullover from GIOMEN comes in two sizes of fit mesh and three standard sizes S, M and L.
It’s L$70 per colour which are green, grey, white, red and black. I wore the black version shown from the back, Giovanni’s own poster with all the colours from the front. Jeans in all pictures are also from GIOMEN.
In the bleak midwinter… baaaahhhh!
Project Reject has the ‘Gamer’ jacket which comes in five variations on the inner portion matched up with a black puffer jacket – a plain blue inner, gray and multi stripes, grey and dark red, all blacks and all greys – the latter of which I was wearing. Standard sizing XS – XL, fits beautifully. Each texture is L$99.
tag. has the ‘Wires shirt’ in three colours, white black and grey. Each colour has a HUD which controls the texture of the neck band in 6 designs. There are two sizes of Fit Mesh and three standard sizes in L, M and S. I used the first size fit mesh which was fine. Used Ded’s poster to show the black variety.
Last but by no means least, Divinity has the ‘Origins necklace’. It comes with a HUD that resizes and has many metal, cord and tag variations with flags of different countries, full bright on/off and it will hide the lower chain if wanted. That’s a whole lot of necklace for only L$155.
Cheers, m’dears and happy shopping 🙂
