A quiet corner of the garden

with 5 comments

“In a quiet corner of the garden one may rest,
Entertained by birdsong and the slow churn of water in the fountain.
An opportune breeze flutters the branches of the trees and the flowers brush softly against the gazebo window,
A small, white bird dips a graceful beak into water, while in the shadows a hedgehog steals juicy pear slices.
Truly a summer’s feast for ear and eye, where one can take a sip of wine and avoid the midday sun.”

  1. Sooooooo pretty ❤ I love the colours and the kitchness of it all. Makes me wanna curl up on the tree swing and get lost in a book surrounded by all the beautiful scents and sunshine.

    • Thank you, Loopi! A garden is a place that can be your own to relax in and it’s surprising how the virtual garden can have much the same effect as a garden you step into and enjoy IRL. That’s why I like a bit of land with my house 🙂

  2. Beautiful . I want my own rl garden but sadly it’s a communal spot. Great on weekdays but on weekends it’s like a goldfish bowl

    • Thank you, Isa ❤ I think every UK house should come with a garden by law but I'm probably living in the land of the fairies now!
