Solace in Spain

The scene today is photographed in part of the colonnade of  La Casa Blanca Spanish style home.  It’s by also Known as and is currently at the Hacienda round of The Liaison Collaborative.  If you hurry, there’s still a couple of days left.  There’s also another major piece from that round by my new sponsor, Silence, and that’s the Hacienda Swing which has a massive and satisfying texture changer!

The Hacienda Swing has twelve beautiful patterns you’ll absolutely love, and a selection of toning plains in Olive brown, Dark green, Red, White, Orange and Blue green. I used the SW4 pattern with the Blue green plain.  This was enough even to please me 🙂  Plus..  it’s very easy to alter the length of the poles and chains for whatever height porch you have, which makes this a versatile piece of furniture.

The fabulous La Casa Blanca consists of two floors and a flat roof area with tiled wall surround which could be decorated. There are two sets of outside steps from ground to upper floor and from upper floor to roof. There’s a white colonnade with ceiling beams at the front of house and a white balcony on upper floor.

The ground floor rooms number four altogether, and they are a mirror set accessible by big doors off the colonnade, their ceilings have wooden beams décor. The upper floor has a single bedroom with front and side window which you enter from the outside stairs and this room leads into a large double open plan bedroom with windows front and back. The balcony will take you up to the roof via the second set of outside stairs. The inner rooms are tiled with black and white flooring, and the roof and colonnade have caramel tiling. The house sits on a tiled block with three steps all round and plenty of extra height on the base to enable you to sink it into the ground, be it grass, concrete or sand.  I’ve taken copious photos and made a slideshow…

    • Thanks so much, Cherri ❤ It really is a gorgeous home with lots of decorating potential including a roof garden, perhaps.

    • Yes, it was one of my favourites, a very fruitful theme. Like you, I could have done at least another couple of scenes given the time.

    • Thanks so much, Starr ❤ I've visited Spain quite a lot in the past and there's a period of the evening when the heat drops and everything goes fairly quiet in nature at least (not so for the human contingent). That's the time I was attempting to capture here.
