Meerkat Holiday

with 16 comments

The Meerkat family are holidaying at a green oasis, it makes a change from their usual desert prairie land! Also featuring lots of products from the inaugural round of Illuminate.

I really loved the {LORE} Spring Garden Nook, it has a lot of texture changes which make a big difference to the overall look. Here, I was using the gray stone, dark ivy and dark vines. Lucas Lameth has come up with three garden décor products which are absolutely beautiful and I used the Whispering Ginkgo around the windows of the nook. I’ve also used some of Raindale‘s romantic gacha – Littlevale. It includes a lot of lighting options made up in flowers and lanterns – they’ll be really useful for garden décor – and the old fountain overgrown with vegetation is a delightful focal piece.

Little Branch‘s tree is the Wild Linden which I have modified to be fairly small here but you can resize it a lot and the Land Impact is only 12 at the largest size which is huge. Another name for this tree is the Lime or Basswood and when in bloom its flowers will fill the air with beautiful aroma. You can make linden flower tea, it’s delicious. As a herb the linden blossom is a diaphoretic that makes you ‘sweat’ out fevers, infusions of freshly picked linden blossom are calming and soothing. Some of these older trees have become healing shrines over time and places of pilgrimage where they are known as “Mary Trees”. The heart shaped leaf has also been linked with love and when two people wanted to get married in the old days, they simply pressed their thumbs against a linden trunk with the whole community in circle around them, then they were considered married.

TLC Home Collection has all those cute meerkats and more in a gacha, find them over at ULTRA new round. If you use them in a more natural environment there’s also a couple of meerkat babies in a sand burrow that are equally enchanting. The little robin you’ll find at the mainstore.

Don’t forget – ULTRA and Illuminate are on the same sim, opposite to each other, so you can do all your shopping at once!

    • You’re so right, my friend! I think I was a bird in a previous life because I love their songs and like being high up – as if in a nest.

  3. I had no idea Linden Trees were really a thing! Learn something new every day 🙂

    • Yes, I was surprised! I like to research the trees Little Branch make because there’s always something special about each tree back in the real world. In the UK trees that are over 400 years old are awarded a plaque and we make a big deal about looking after these ancients.

    • Awws, thank you, Starr ❤ Yes, I know the Nat Geo specials and we also have had whole series about them in the UK, it follows their daily lives including the stand offs between groups that you get sometimes. Fascinating!
