Merry-go-Round

Roundabouts are the stuff of childhood memories, maybe you rode one at the local fair or you found one in a nearby playground and made a beeline for it! I think adults love these just as much as children and there’s no shame in beating the kids to your favourite brightly painted horse. Of course you need candy floss to make the experience complete 🙂

Raindale‘s Windridge gazebo is just right to house our merry-go-round, and it’s available at the current Cosmopolitan Event round. You can rez it with or without the string lights but it’s so nice to have those lights twinkling about you. There’s a texture changer for the tiled roof and I used the blue one to match Culprit’s beautiful Vintage Carousel. There’s a couple of texture versions for this – one is a delicate blue and white combo and the other is a more robust red. The carousel rotates at a reasonable rate, at least it doesn’t make the riders feel giddy. There’s a variety of different pose choices for the riders including Drunk, Huggy, Near Fall, Wave and Gallop. Great fun!

All around I’ve been using Little Branch‘s current trees and vegetation. The orange tree is out at the store and the Young Bradford is at Limit8 – hurry if you want this as supplies are limited. These trees are gently animated and the branches move as if in a light breeze. It’s so nice to have that natural movement within your landscaping scenes as it gives gardens, parks and landscapes life. They are both 4-Season trees which make them versatile – it’s like you purchased four trees in one pack. I also used Wild Grass in lavender (you can also get the same in dry texture), animated Snakeweed, a white, rounded Flowerfield (a Little Branch speciality) and a low impact hill over and over again to build up the scene. Doesn’t take much to look really fabulous.

In the foreground are Serenity Style‘s Purr Cute Ducks which are a gacha. My favourite is the one sitting down.  Now this gacha was from December 2017 PocketGacha originally, and there are some of these as resellers on Marketplace (I just had a look) or check out the mainstore.

Last but not least, are the Magical Orbs by KraftWork and HERA. This is a collaboration between the two designers, and currently showing at SaNaRae. The orbs are a photo prop which is meant to be held but I’ve rezzed it here. Each prop will include 3 different Bento poses to make your photography stand out in a realistic way. Emissive maps are enabled for superior photographic effects. They do look gorgeous! I was using the Gold version as it had little blue butterflies that matched the horses in the merry-go-round.  These things happen like magic – it’s a magical scene, after all 🙂
