The Art of Tea

with 6 comments

What a difference a day makes, especially when the Labs have replaced a vital piece of hardware which meant folks couldn’t log in yesterday!

Today, I felt inspired by this great new gacha from unKindness – it’s the Tea Time Delight gacha, presently at Whimsical.  It has a whopping 18 pieces, 2 of which are Rares, all to do with drinking tea and eating cup cakes. Other cutlery  and quail’s egg pieces are from .Shi, part of 5 sets available at the new round of Shiny Shabby.  These pieces were so beautiful I thought they deserved to be in an art gallery.

Now tell me you don’t want a cuppa and cake after that!

Here’s the pieces I used in detail:-

.Shi – Vintage Flatwear teaspoon and cake fork in bronze
.Shi – Quail Egg Display with Lights
(both from the Noir Minimalist Set, currently at Shiny Shabby)

unKindness – Tea Time Delights gacha, currently at Whimsical

Fontainebleau – Lips Wall Hanging
Simone Spotlight
KraftWork Wall System – Geometric
(all at the Mainstore)

Black Tea Tray & Homage to Tea design – Moz

Cheers, m’dears 🙂

  1. interesting that you posted this. yesterday I happened upon a copy of
the art of Tea, Wu shing Publication featuring the history of Puerh Tea.. I am not a tea drinker, but love it non the less.. its smell, fragrance, and the dainty tea cups and pots that go along with the ceremony of drinking the tea.. and often the pleasure of the ,moment. smiles.. sends happy hugs across the miles

    • Fascinating! I must look that up. I have taken part in genuine Tea Ceremonies in the past and found them amazing. The point of those is the extreme sweetness of one cup of tea is followed by the bitterness of another cup of tea, this creates a shock and a space in the thoughts so that there is a connection with the Divine in the thoughtless state of Nirvichara Samadhi. Apart from that, day to day I prefer Earl Grey with bergamot as it’s a light and aromatic blend. Sending you *hhuuugggsss* back!
