EB Awareness Event – as fragile as a butterfly

with one comment

A number of bloggers and designers are taking part in an event that will open this Monday, 28th April until 5th May. Epidermolysis Bullosa is a savage and distressing aliment suffered by children. Basically there is something absent in their physical makeup which renders their skin as ‘fragile as a butterfly’. We have a theme – butterflies and spring. You can read more about it on the Debra of America website (where you can also make a direct donation) – http://www.debra.org/

Other folks have given their time to provide entertainment over the week with concerts, raffles and talks. Read about this on the EB Awareness blog site – http://ebawarenessinsl.blogspot.co.uk/

Land was generously donated by Burdeyna Islands for all the event happenings!

I’ve got my jeweler’s hat on for this event,  but I’m also extremely pleased to be blogging some of the great menswear designers taking part. The designers will have a ‘special’ exclusive available and/or reduced vendors with split profits so if you buy you’ll be making your donation via SL. What could be easier? Well… you do have to choose!

Today, I’m blogging the menswear from [Phunk]. At the event they are on stand #14. Parallaxx is the talented designer here – there’s vendors for both men and women.

The Butterfly shirt and tee is [Phunk]’s exclusive for gents, a Butterfly mini skirt for the ladies is also available. You can wear this shirt with or without the tee (alphas for both options), in five standard sizes XS – XL. I was wearing the medium tee with the large shirt.

Everything from now on is reduced at the event. Next up, a Denim shirt and tee combo. You get dark blue, light blue and black for the jacket… black, blue and white for the tee. Jacket can be worn with or without the tee.

The men’s Flannel and tee combo and you get a HUD with this one. A really good choice of 4 plaids, 2 plains plus tees in 4 plains and 4 prints. Should see you through spring!

Mens Cargo Shorts in XS-XL with HUD – 4 plaids, 1 camo, 3 plains, nice choice here… plus Unisex combat boots… with HUD – resize, 16 presets and customise features mean a lot of choice. Two alphas are included and shoe base for a perfect fit.

And here’s where I got them all muddy tramping up and down the beach 🙂

Unisex Lowtop Sneakers with a massive 18 preset HUD (you’ll never get bored) and customise features, shoebase and with a couple of alphas for feet or sneakers. One of those will match most jeans, pants or bare legs. Here’s an example while I catch the last sun of the afternoon… yawn!! Lazy git 🙂

Last but by no means least, [Phunk] ‘s slim line Men’s Business Suit Set with HUDS for 4 colours suit, 8 shirts and cuffs, 24 ties – wow, endless fiddling lol. Pants can be worn separately with a belt and their own HUD for the 4 colours of the suit. There’s even a pair of black business shoes included. In addition, there are alphas for feet, full suit & feet, jacket & shirt, pants and shoes.

Here’s a less formal combo of blue jacket, light blue fancy tie, black shirt and pants.

Guys, go along – you’ll find something you like! I’ll be back soon with more goodies for EB Awareness week!
